ETBU’s camp will strengthen runners of all abilities both mentally and physically, while providing a competitive environment to pursue excellence within the sport. The camp will further enhance the lifelong enjoyment of running, by providing smarter ways to fuel, train and recover.

  Grades: 9th - 12th
Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Cost: $100 per athlete
$500 per team (10 athletes max.)

Late registration: June 25th - 28th. Registration cost will increase by $10 during this time.

Location: ETBU Healthplex

Camp goals:

  • Runners will learn how to monitor their hydration and nutrition
  • Runner will learn how to train efficiently and effectively
  • Runner will learn about injury prevention and rehab techniques
  • Runner will learn new drills
  • Runner will be provided with a VO2Max training sheet
  • Runners will gain an understanding of what it is like to compete at the collegiate level
  • Runners will be equipped with team building skills

Spiritual Goals:

  • Athletes will be challenged as spiritual leaders amongst their peers
  • Athletes will learn to demonstrate Christlike qualities during competition
  • Athletes will gain a greater understanding of their sport from a spiritual aspect

How much should I be running?

For our camp, be prepared to run a 2-mile VO2Max assessment (terrain: road), and a (DMR) Distance Medley Relay (terrain: track).

What to bring:

  • Running attire/change of clothes
  • Running shoes (Terrain: road/track)
  • Water bottle
  • Sunblock
  • Watch
  • Foam roller
  • Backpack
  • Snacks

8:30 am Session 1 Proper Warm-Up Drills
 2 mile VO2MAX Test
10:00 am  Session 2 Rehab, Recovery, Stretching
and Foam Rolling Exercises
11:30 am  Lunch break (Lunch provided)
 Session 3 Nutritional Guidelines & Life as a College Athlete
1:00 pm  Session 4 Team Building Exercises and Games
3:00 pm  Shuttle to Marshall High School Track
3:30 pm  DMR at Marshall High with instructional warm-up
5:00 pm  Closing remarks and Explanation of VO2max training with 2-mile test time handouts.
